Physiotherapy program offers comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills crucial to be able to improve patients’ quality of life and to help disabled people or those who lost ability to function independently as a result of an injury in regaining their fitness. The program prepares students to be able to perform their duties as a physiotherapist independently, the program’s objective is teaching how to plan, carry out and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the therapy.
During the course of study, special emphasis is placed on the development of practical skills to use specialist physiotherapy procedures, i.e. kinesitherapy, physical therapy, therapeutic massage, manual therapy or special methods of treatment. Students learn how to effectively perform the treatment and how to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the rehabilitation program.
As a part of the program students can conduct scientific research in the field of functional and imaging diagnostics and in planning and evaluation of the effectiveness of the rehabilitation process. Students can participate in research projects and in the work of scientific teams.
