The studies are realized as live online classes and they are of a practical nature. They combine the knowledge on physiology, sport dietetics, supplementation, psychology and work with people with various health needs. The classes are conducted in the form of lectures and workshops by the specialists with experience in sport and clinical dietetics.
The aim of the postgraduate studies in Dietetics in sport is gaining or deepening of specialized knowledge in the field of nutrition and supplementation in the context of physical activity – both recreational and professional. The program takes into account the needs of young and adult athletes and disabled people, people with post-injury conditions, emphasizing nutritional support in sport as a mean to effectiveness enhancement and improved athletic performance. Our graduates gain practical competence essential to be able to plan dietary strategies, to prepare proper meal plans, to interpret test results and to conduct nutritional education in sport environments, and also to evaluate the nutritional status of individuals. Our program of postgraduate studies concentrates on delivering the knowledge on health benefits of food and food specifics in the context of various disciplines.
Completion of higher education (at least Bachelor’s degree) is required for admission.
The graduate of postgraduate studies in Dietetics in sport is a specialist prepared to working in sports environments – with athletes, their trainers, the parents of young athletes and with recreational sports participants. They have solid knowledge on the physiology of exertion, nutritional strategies and psychological aspects of diet in sport. They also understand the needs of people with post-injury conditions and of disabled people, they can advice in terms of nutrition and dietetical support with consideration of food’s nutritional value and the role of the minerals and they can also evaluate a person’s nutrition. After graduation you will obtain the certificate of completion of the postgraduate studies.
