Medical Law in healthcare and personal data protection specialty gives our students knowledge on how to use and interpret legal regulations concerning healthcare services and patient rights protection. Students familiarize themselves with basic regulations and institutions of medical law, such as: civil and criminal liability of doctors and other staff of healthcare, rights and obligations of patients and doctors, consent for medical treatment and procedures, doctor-patient confidentiality and professional secrecy, medical documentation, organ transplantation, medically assisted reproduction, euthanasia, and palliative care.
The program also includes subjects connected with organization and financing of healthcare system, such as: health insurance, contracts with National Health Fund (NFZ), supervision of medical business and quality control of medical services.
Part-time mode
You meet the lecturer and the group both, online and at the premises of the University. Meetings take place on weekends and selected Friday afternoons.
Full-time mode
Classes are mostly of in-person nature organized on weekdays. Typically they take place 3-4 days a week at the premises of the University and some part of the lectures is delivered on-line.
Hybrid learning
Part of the classes (mainly lectures) are delivered on the MS Teams platform, and majority of labs are based on-site in the lecture rooms.
The schedule includes days that are fully remote, but also days that all classes are held on-site.

The graduate of this path is a specialist in personal data protection and in information security in healthcare system. They have the knowledge and skills essential to supervising, managing and auditing of the medical data processing.
The graduates are prepared to working as data protection inspectors, administrators of medical systems, specialists of information security and auditors in medical facilities, public institutions and technological companies in the healthcare sector.
