Public Health
Health Education, Prevention and Health Promotion focuses on the development of the ability to create and conduct effective programs of health education. Students will learn how to analyze the educational needs of the population, how to design prevention programs and how to effectively communicate health information. Through the work with different social groups, they will contribute to enhancement of the knowledge and health habits of the society.

Medical Law in healthcare and personal data protection specialty gives our students knowledge on how to use and interpret legal regulations concerning healthcare services and patient rights protection. Students familiarize themselves with basic regulations and institutions of medical law, such as: civil and criminal liability of doctors and other staff of healthcare, rights and obligations of patients and doctors, consent for medical treatment and procedures, doctor-patient confidentiality and professional secrecy, medical documentation, organ transplantation, medically assisted reproduction, euthanasia, and palliative care. The program also includes subjects connected with organization and financing of healthcare system, such as: health insurance, contracts with National Health Fund (NFZ), supervision of medical business and quality control of medical services.
The graduates of Occupational Health and Safety (BHP) can use their knowledge and skills in being BHP inspectors and specialists or labour inspectors. They can also work in the institutions that issue certificates for the equipment used in i.a. healthcare facilities, and institutions that use the equipment and substances that emit ionizing radiation.
This specialty is addressed to all those who are interested in the organization and management of the care of the elderly and incurably ill people. The graduates gain knowledge and skills concerning the process of aging, geriatric and palliative care, planning and implementing social and health services for senior citizens and terminally ill patients. This studies shall prepare you to work in nursing homes, social care facilities, public administration, non-governmental organizations and individual work in the sector of elderly care.
Organization of the Emergency Medical Services and Crisis Management prepares future specialist to work in the area of emergency medical services and crisis management. Students acquire knowledge on the organization of medical structures in emergency situations and on the conducting complex rescue operations. They learn how to plan, coordinate and supervise the work in the life or health-threatening situations and also how to make decisions in the situation which require fast and efficient reaction. The program is focused on skills allowing for the work in stressful situations and in cooperation with the institutions responsible for the public safety.
Students of the Sanitary Epidemiological Inspection specialty are prepared to work efficiently in the area of sanitary and epidemiological inspection. The program concentrates on providing the students with the practical skills connected with the control of hygienic and sanitary conditions, evaluation of health hazards and monitoring and analysis of epidemiological situation. Graduates will be ready to undertake preventative measures, support safety of the public health and react into crisis situations connected with epidemiological risks.
