The studies ensure comprehensive preparation in terms of functional diagnosis, planning the recovery process, palliative care, rehabilitation, communication with geriatric patients and basis of care and occupational therapy. Great emphasis is put on the practical aspect of learning – the participants take part in workshops, exercises and classes which include simulations of clinical situations.
The aim of the Geriatric rehabilitation program is to equip our students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills indispensable in care and improving the mobility of the elderly. The program concentrates on a broad range of issues concerning the aging process, taking into account the needs of the elderly with chronic, dementia and neurological disorders and patients with the cognitive functions disorders.
