Forensic Psychology postgraduate studies are designed for the people who want to cooperate with a justice system as an expert witness. The scope of the studies includes civil cases (redress, mobbing, custody and family matters, matters of legal declarations) and criminal cases (testimonies of child and adult witnesses, legal insanity). Graduates will gain the skills to perform forensic psychological examination, providing a diagnosis and answering the questions ordered by the Court/Prosecution. They will also gain knowledge of law and cooperation with a justice system in terms of psychological profiling of offenders.

The aim of the postgraduate studies is to gain the specialist knowledge and practical skills in terms of acknowledging the mechanisms of human functioning which is essential in the work of an expert witness in psychology.

Target audience

These are studies for the people who have the master’s degree in psychology and at least 2 years of experience in the work of a psychologist.

Profile of the graduate

Graduates of the postgraduate studies in Forensic Psychology shall have the specialist knowledge on clinical psychology, including the methods of psychological diagnosis necessary to issue the opinion. Graduates will also have the knowledge of assessment of adults and children, both in civil and criminal cases.
