Dietetics
Clinical dietetics specialty is aimed at the people who are interested in gaining the knowledge and skills on nutrition, i.a. in metabolic, endocrine, oncological diseases, and in allergies and food intolerance. Students will learn how to form eating habits when working with patients and how to use professional computer programs for dieticians, such as Nuvero and Dietico, which can assist in designing meal plans.
The aim of the Dietetics in Sport specialty is to gain knowledge on the nutrition and supplementation in recreational sport activities and in various sport disciplines. During our practical classes students will acquire the ability to prepare nutrition plans for adults who train professionally, but also for the young athletes. They will learn how to provide nutritional education for people who are physically active. They will also learn the dietary recommendations for people who sustained injuries, e.g. during their workout or competition.
Holistic dietetics is a big-picture perspective on the human nutrition on every stage of life. The program is characterized by a holistic approach – it connects the knowledge on the nutrition and human health with the elements of psychology, it allows to understand the needs and nutritional behavior of various groups of people. During classes you will find out how to plan balanced diets for children, the elderly and people who are physically active. The aim of this specialty is to gain knowledge on the eating disorders of the psychological origin (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, bigorexia) and the use of this knowledge to diagnose, treat and thus solve real situations of this origin in patients of various age groups.
